"You are beautiful"
There is no one “right” reason to do boudoir, yet one of my favorite reasons to do boudoir is as a way of doing something beautiful for yourself - which is exactly why Amanda decided to book a session! Amanda wanted to celebrate herself with a powerful and self-loving gift, and on the day of her session, she arrived at my boudoir studio in Minneapolis with such grounded, creative energy.
Amanda was drawn to a multitude of boudoir moods and styles. Her session included moments that reflected all four of the boudoir styles I love capturing - soft and romantic, strong and empowered, bold and dramatic, casual and relaxed. She incorporated a variety of looks into her session as well. Some outfits had cozy, Sunday morning energy, some felt sensual, and we wrapped up the session with a series of implied and fine art nude portraits.
Amanda also was a participant in my Dear Body series, a self-love boudoir project I started last year. She handwrote a beautiful love letter to herself, which I incorporated into portraits from her session. I hope her words and images inspire you on your self-love journey.
