Tender, artful portraits for a trans man!
B is an all-around amazing human and wanted portraits that would feel tender, artful, and cool. He also wanted pictures to celebrate his body (as a trans man, he especially wanted to celebrate his top surgery scars and the features he’s gained from testosterone).
He’s given me permission to share these pictures with you — and specifically asked me to share that he’s trans, because he’d love to see more representation of trans men doing boudoir photoshoots for themselves!
B also wrote a love letter to himself, to accompany his pictures — scroll down to the bottom to read it!! (If you’re anything like me, you’ll cry tiny tears reading his reflective, loving words to his body).
B’s love letter to himself
B is part of my Dear Body series, so her wrote a love letter to himself/his body to accompany his pictures. I loooove seeing how his words fit in with his pictures - they add this layer of depth and meaning that honestly makes me tear up. I’m going to share his letter in full at the very bottom - it’s an incredible reflection.
B, thank you so much for working with me for your boudoir session! It’s been an absolute honor to photograph you and create this amazing art together - I’m so proud of your pictures, and it especially has meant so much to me that you connected with my Dear Body project. The tenderness and love in your words is so magical to feel alongside your pictures, and I love how they flow together. You are amazing, my friend!
