M's compassionate, romantic boudoir portraits
M is a compassionate, thoughtful person, and I was so delighted to work with her for this boudoir session! This was not her first time being photographed - about a decade ago, she did a boudoir session (with another photographer) before her wedding. This summer was her ten-year wedding anniversary, and she decided to do another boudoir session to capture herself in a totally different chapter in life than her first time being photographed.
As we talked about what she wanted to capture in these portraits, M reflected on how much she has changed in the ten years since her previous session; she talked about the confidence she has gained and how proud she is of herself and the life she has created. She wanted her portraits to feel romantic and special, while also capturing her relaxed and easygoing side.
She brought along a textured cardigan for some more casual, cozy portraits, and a stunning green lace bodysuit that brought confidence and drama, plus a pop of bold color. She also borrowed the black lace robe from my studio wardrobe, and I love how the lace felt so elegant and romantic and confident all at once. M also chose to end her session with some implied nude portraits, and I love how these feel so artistic and calm and happy.
M, I am so grateful that we were able to work together for this session!! Your portraits are full of so much power and self-compassion and beauty! Thank you for bringing wonderful energy into the studio - I’m so grateful that we crossed paths.
