“K’s” confident, self-loving second boudoir session
Hi, friends! I’m so excited to welcome “K” back to the blog today for her second boudoir session.
The reason why “K” chose to do a second boudoir session
“K’s” first boudoir session with me was 2-3 years ago! The past few years have been filled with a lot of life transitions for her, and she shared with me that she really feels she’s grown through these experiences. She told me that she feels really true to herself in her current season of life.
“K” told me that she was really excited to celebrate her inner self and her body in her second boudoir session. How amazing is that?! How often do we celebrate ourselves and our bodies?!
I loved hearing that this was “K’s” motivation for doing a second boudoir session and was so, so excited to work together again! Getting to work with my clients multiple times brings me such joy -- it’s incredibly powerful to see how people grow and deepen their relationship with themselves over time.
“K’s” boudoir session aesthetic
As we discussed her vision for her second boudoir session, “K” said that she wanted her portraits to feel really powerful and confident. She planned to bring along a really fun mix of different wardrobe pieces; some were relaxed and flowy, while others were elegant and structured.
From her upright, powerful postures to her strong, elegant body language, I think “K’s” boudoir photos really radiate the confidence she holds. I also think there’s a real sense of grace that shines through in “K’s” photos -- you can feel how poised she is and how much love she embodies for herself.
“K’s” boudoir wardrobe
“K” brought along such a cool mix of boudoir looks -- some were casual and laid back, while others were elegant and distinguished!
“K’s” first look was a simple, strappy-backed black bra paired with a matching thong. She layered these pieces with a blue chambray button-down shirt to bring in an easygoing, relaxed feel.
After taking a few photos in her first boudoir outfit, “K” switched into her next boudoir look, which was a beautiful black bodysuit made from intricate lace. Her bodysuit had a really dramatic, elegant feel!
Next, “K” wore a pair of high-waisted solid teal bottoms. She paired these with a cropped off-the-shoulder gray sweater.
“K” then switched into a sheer bodysuit with a mock turtleneck. The bodysuit had little vertical lines in the fabric, a subtle detail that brought a really cool, structural feel -- both classy and elegant at the same time!
“K’s” next boudoir look was a really special lingerie set. The bottoms were high-waisted with a strappy detail at the waist, and the top was cropped with cap sleeves and had a deep “V” in the back. The whole thing was made from black lace -- it was a super unique and stunning ensemble.
The next wardrobe piece that “K” brought was a really soft cotton robe that she got at Flirt. It was a hazy purple/periwinkle color. I absolutely love the trio of photos of “K” in this robe; they feel really elegant and powerful when grouped together.
“K’s” final boudoir look was a clean, simple white sheet. We draped it around her, and I love how peaceful and strong her portrait looks -- there’s such a sense of contentment as she looks out the window.
“K,” it was such a joy and a pleasure to photograph you for a second boudoir session. I am so grateful that you chose to take the time to celebrate all that you are, both inside and out! You are such a kind, creative, and compassionate soul -- I feel so lucky to know you. Thank you for trusting me with your portraits again!
