“J’s” self-loving, elegant, romantic boudoir session
“J” was the very last client I photographed in 2021! When we first met, she shared that she got married a couple of years ago and had thought about doing a boudoir session at the time as a gift for her then-fiance but decided it wasn’t the right moment for her. Now “J” felt ready to do a boudoir session and was so excited to do it for herself. (Doesn’t that feel so powerful?!)
“J” loved the idea of doing a session to see herself in a different light, to celebrate her body, and to honor the life she’s crafted for herself. She felt like this boudoir session was a really meaningful piece of her story!
“J’s” boudoir portraits
“J” was excited to create portraits that felt really soft, romantic, and full of ease. When I look at “J’s” pictures, I see a real sense of elegance and poise that speaks to her inner sense of peace and confidence.
To begin the session, “J” wore a couple of more casual outfits to bring out a sense of relaxed, easygoing style. She paired a cropped, off-the-shoulder sweater with cheeky bottoms.
Her second outfit was a deep purple cami that she wore with a simple, high-waisted bottom. (I always love the simplicity of soft cotton in pictures!) The strappy cami showed off “J’s” flower tattoo so beautifully!
Finally, “J” wore a light cream bodysuit with sheer panels, followed by a long-sleeved black bodysuit with an open back. Her mix of outfits overall were a lovely contrast between light tones and deep, rich colors.
“J,” I’m so glad our paths crossed! You have such lovely, intentional energy, and your portraits absolutely glow with a sense of inner calmness and joy. I love how you did this session for yourself as an act of self-celebration. Thank you for trusting me with your boudoir portraits!
