Update from Alyssa: what's happing in the studio during this pandemic

If you’re wondering: are boudoir sessions continuing to happen during the COVID pandemic?

Short answer:  Yes! With some intentional safety precautions in place, I am continuing to book and photograph sessions in the studio with clients who are fully vaccinated. Let’s (responsibly) make some stunning art together!

Longer answer: One of the lovely things about boudoir is that it’s small-scale and intimate -- there are no crowds or extra people milling about. The only people present at my boudoir shoots are you, me, and sometimes a hair and makeup artist. Even though the pandemic is beginning to feel more safe, I’m continuing to take extra precautions to make sure that boudoir is a healthy and safe place for you. These include:

  • I am fully vaccinated and boosted, and the same is true for my hair/makeup artists, my household, and the people I spend time with.

  • I’m only booking sessions with clients who are fully vaccinated, which I think helps all of us feel extra safe! If you have a medical reason why you’re not able to be vaccinated, reach out to me and we can talk about it. If you’re choosing not to be vaccinated, I will not be able to accommodate you in the studio at this time.

  • I’m still wearing masks during boudoir sessions in the studio (and my hair/makeup artists do as well).

  • I continue to clean high-touch surfaces, use my HEPA air filters to clean the air in my studio, and generally socially distance during photoshoots.

  • If I feel ill before a session or have had a covid exposure, I’ll reschedule — and I ask you to monitor your own symptoms/exposures and do the same!

Overall, please know that keeping you safe is super important to me, so I'm resuming sessions very intentionally and thoughtfully. With these adjustments in mind, I feel really confident that we'll be able to create the same amazing boudoir experience that I've always been proud to share with my clients - just with a few extra precautions in place.

With these guidelines in mind, please know that I am SO excited to continue making beautiful things with you in the midst of the coronavirus murkiness. Bring your healthy, beautiful, amazing self into the studio, and we will create art, find joy, and celebrate all that you are!
