Lisa’s Bright, Poised Boudoir Portraits
Lisa entered her Illuminate Boudoir experience by way of referral from her daughter, who’s session I did several months prior. It is the best compliment I can receive when clients refer their friends and family, and I so enjoyed working with Lisa and her vision for soft, feminine, and poised portraits.
Lisa’s eye for fashion and experience selling clothing came through in her thoughtful wardrobe choices. She loves pink and blush and brought many pieces playing off that color palette that worked so well with the warmth of the brick in my studio.
A knit blanket and long jewelry to hang down her back paired for a soft and lovely look. Lisa also incorporated many textural pieces-- a bra top with white lace details, a linen tunic with embroidery elements, a top with a delicate floral pattern, and a floaty pink babydoll nightie.
Hayley from Hayley Sachs Artistry did Lisa’s hair and makeup. Hayley kept her makeup pretty neutral, adding more drama to her eyes for a vibrant pop. Together Lisa and Hayley came up with a low, relaxed french twist hairstyle. It feels very soft and almost a little undone with pieces of her wavy curled hair floating down. The romantic and elegant hairstyle pulled in a vintage, classic vibe that went so well with Lisa’s wardrobe choices.
Lisa, thank you for bringing your vision and intention to the studio. It was wonderful to see your creative eye flourish in your ideas for this session, and I’m so honored that we had a chance to work together!
