K’s joyful, sentimental boudoir session

K brought so much bright, celebratory energy to her boudoir session. K had been hoping to do a boudoir session for some time, and finally she realized it felt like the right moment. This year, she began entering a season of life that felt very special – she was experiencing exciting career growth, planning her upcoming wedding, and feeling truly proud of the life she was making for herself. K decided to do boudoir now as a way of celebrating herself and documenting this joyful life chapter. 

Throughout her boudoir session, K explored a variety of moods and energies to capture prominent themes in her life. Her session resulted in so many lovely portraits! K gave permission for only some of her portraits to be made public, so I’m delighted to share those here today. 

K’s Boudoir Portraits

K wanted to devote one of her boudoir outfits to documenting and celebrating her upcoming wedding, so she wore a gorgeous white robe and pj set – which was made from her mom’s wedding dress! She felt beautiful wearing this sentimental, heirloom piece, and her portraits feel elegant, romantic, poised, and effortless. With a huge smile on her face in so many of these portraits, I love how K’s images create an authentic and meaningful time capsule into this happy season of life.
