Hannah’s powerful, artistic boudoir videography session
Hannah is a client I’ve worked with before, photographing her first boudoir session several years ago. It is such an honor to work with returning clients and help them document what has shifted, changed, or grown in their lives since their previous session. Hannah told me about the healing journey she has been on in recent years, working to align her life with her natural strengths and authentic intentions. She wanted her boudoir portraits to feel dramatic, bold, and artistic – capturing her resilience and bravery in this season of life.
Hannah chose two outfits for her studio boudoir session. For her first look, she wore a rich, emerald green lace cami and boyshort set that felt very her. She also wore one of her favorite pairs of earrings that gave this look a creative, artful feel. We took portraits of her sitting on a cozy chair and standing against the brick wall in my studio - capturing themes of gentleness and ease alongside strength and confidence.
Next Hannah borrowed a black, lace robe from my studio layering wardrobe which felt dramatic, sensual, and powerful. The portraits of Hannah standing in front of my black backdrop feel striking and dramatic, while the portraits of her beside my floor-to-ceiling glass windows feel candid, sensual, and filled with self-loving joy.
Hannah’s boudoir video & love letter to her body
As a participant in my “Dear Body” series, Hannah wrote a beautiful love letter to her body that I paired with footage from her boudoir session. Listen below, and keep scrolling to see her boudoir studio portraits!
“Dear Body,
This journey is the one you’re meant to be on. You are where you need to be, and going where you need to go…
Matching your inside and your outsides is hard, but you’re living it… I'm so fucking proud of you, and I love you.”
